Dale and Amy Earnhardt are true professionals. My task was pretty simple, in the middle of a crazy day, try to find moments for authentic portraits. What I hope stands out to someone like Dale Jr, who gets his photo taken regularly, is that my goal is to not only give him elevated images, but to also pay attention to everyone else in the room. His wife Amy is gorgeous and humble (less used to being on camera, which I found utterly charming), his production team are wonderful hard-working people, and I was honored to be part of it all.

This project was powerful in a way I’m not sure I can describe here. After seeing some portraits I took of my mother during her cancer treatment, the American Cancer Society reached out to me, asking to replicate the touching, intimate portraits for a breast cancer awareness month campaign.

I was honored.

I brought along two of my favorite production professionals as we traveled to Philadelphia for the shoot, and I also helped produce several other aspects of the shoot like booking the studio and makeup artist. These are always details I like to be hands-on with when appropriate.

I cried over and over with my subjects. We were raw and vulnerable together. We were also powerful and joyful together. I hope the images tell that story. Get your mammogram.

Over a two year period, I worked closely with Art Directors at Altar'd State to create movement and editorial detail in ecommerce photography. Their established team of photographers was in transition during this time, and I was able to help bridge the gap as one of their most senior photographers took a maternity leave and multiple photographers were hired new.

An editorial model test is a collaboration between a model and myself to get some interesting, creative imagery. A great model test is usually somewhat raw, with minimal makeuo and simple clothes.

These images are a compilation of portfolio images created for professional models and actors to simulate the looks seen in advertising.

This project, led by Tombras Agency was a team effort. We collaborated on everything from the look of the lighting to the retouching.

Any project where I work with Bush's Beans is a JOY. They have an incredible, decisive vision for their brand. So much humor and creativity is put into even the most simple ecomm imagery.

This was a tough time for production. We shot this in the spring of 2020. Patricia made the thoughtful decision to shoot only her family grouping, at a local historical site. We powered through Covid precautions AND some tough weather to get these charming shots of her family. So honored to have been asked to support her brand during this challenging time.

THE CUTEST BRAND oh my goodness. Of course, I also worked on these projects while my daughter was a baby which made it all the more heartwarming.

Most of the images depicted here are from a Christmas Gift Guide that I was tasked with. Each product had a short timeline to live online, so we had to be cognizant of what and how each feature worked. Art Director Laura Hardesty has an incredible eye for design and Soft Goods Stylist Case Jo made my life easy because the products were just...gorgeous. Laura wanted a traditional studio lighting look- bright, fun, but not too "Sunny" because we still needed to consider the feeling of Christmas. I think we nailed it, right?

Retta Jane is a visionary children's brand. Retta - the designer, wants to do something new and different with pre-teen designs that has never been done before. While we had the typical challenges of small-batch ecommerce, like reschedules for shipping delays, we really enjoyed working together on who the Retta Jane girl is? Overall this shoot has stood up to several seasons of branding, even as new designs emerge, this editorial and ecommerce session is the cornerstone of Retta's brand visuals.

Food Network Kitchen is always a fun client. I have consistently been on a team with the production agency PopFizz when working with this client. There's always gorgeous food, great actors, and an abundance of charming storylines. These images are always such a testament to the collaborative nature of commercial photography.

This banking brand has such a sweet vision of the world they want to create for their clients. It's such a joy to work with so many real families and KIDS! I love working with children, of course there are challenges, but they always bring DELIGHT to a shoot.

One of my favorite portrait campaigns to date. The City Museum staff has always had some measure of free reign to work on what they love. This creates a singular opportunity for portraits - each employee is SO DIFFERENT.

This gallery shows various images taken to promote a business or industry. I honestly love a great headshot. I have processes where I can take one individual’s branding and elevate and expand it, or I can fly through hundreds of employee headshots in a day leaving people feeling like it was FUN. Either way, getting images right so they tell the right brand-story, is really important to me.

When I’m not shooting commercially, I love to spend a few days a month photographing up and coming actors. It’s a skill I have worked on for years, and love the challenge of changing with the markets and trends.

This gallery is a compilation of a few different projects showing my interest in a more real-life aesthetic. I’ve been lucky to be asked to step outside the beauty and portraiture space a few times and it always yields some incredible results. My favorite of these images are the ones from the mine. It was such an honor and privelege to be given access to a world so few creatives get to see.
